Frequently Asked Questions
Do you only serve Asheville?
No. We serve all communities within about 30 miles of Asheville, including Biltmore Forest, Woodfin, Weaverville, Black Mountain, Swannanoa, and many more. If you’re inside that 30-mile radius, we’ll come to you.
How can I check if I’m in your service area?
Open your preferred map app, find Asheville City Hall, and measure the straight-line distance to your property. If you’re 30 miles or less, you’re in our service area. You can also send us your address and we’ll confirm.
Are your arborists certified?
Yes. Every Precision Arborcare project is overseen by an ISA Certified Arborist, and all work follows ANSI A300 pruning and safety standards.
What tree services do you offer in my area?
We provide the following services:
- Tree removal and technical dismantling
- Pruning and structural pruning
- Cabling and bracing
- Storm damage and emergency response
- Tree health evaluations and consultations
How fast can you respond after a storm?
We offer same-day triage for storm emergencies. Our crews prioritize hazardous trees that pose immediate risks, then schedule follow-up work as needed.
Do you need permits for tree removal in Asheville?
Some neighborhoods and overlays do require permits for certain tree removals. We’ll help determine whether one is needed and handle any paperwork for you.
How do I schedule an estimate?
You can call us, send an email, or use our online quote form. Include your address, a short description of the work, and photos if possible. We’ll confirm your location and schedule a visit.
Can you handle tight spaces or trees near power lines?
Yes. We specialize in technical removals and can safely work around structures, fences, and utilities. For trees near power lines, we coordinate with the utility company as required.
Are you insured?
Absolutely. We carry full liability and workers’ compensation insurance. Proof of coverage is available upon request.
Do you haul away debris?
Yes. Cleanup and haul-away are included in every estimate unless otherwise requested. We can also leave chips for mulch at no cost.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. For larger projects, we can provide split-payment options.
Can you help with long-term tree health, not just removals?
Yes. Our arborists provide ongoing care, including soil health assessments, pruning plans, and pest or disease management.
How often should I have my trees inspected?
For most properties, a professional tree inspection every 2 to 3 years is recommended. After major storms or construction, schedule one sooner.
Do you provide free estimates?
Yes. Estimates are free within our 30-mile service radius.
